Norma Baldwin - Chair
Norma is Professor of Child Care and Protection at Dundee University. Her research, policy and development interests are in links between disadvantage and harm to children and in the assessment of need in individual families and in communities. She works with local and national government and within the voluntary sector. She was Chair of the Scottish Executive working group which recently advised on the development of an Integrated Assessment Framework for all children.
Until 2004 she was a member of the governing Court of the University of Dundee, serving on its Human Resources Committee, involved in appointments of staff and of Court members and in internal appeals and was a member of a working group which considered changes in governance.
Caroline Lamb - Treasurer
Caroline is Director of Finance & Performance Management,
NHS Education for Scotland. She was previously employed as Director of Finance at Abertay University
Tracey Ashworth-Davies - Trustee
Tracey is Deputy Chief Executive and Director of Strategy & Development at Bright Grey, Royal London Mutual Insurance Company, and was previously Head of HR and Support Services for Scottish Provident UK.
Ian Barcroft - Trustee
Ian is a Minister of the Scottish Episcopal Church and Rector, St Mary's Episcopal Church, Hamilton. Chair of St Mary's Family Support Project, directly supporting children and families in South Lanarkshire. Chair of South Lanarkshire Volunteer Centre; Convener of the Diocese of Glasgow & Galloway Church in Society Committee.
Joan Elliott - Trustee
Joan has over 30 years’ experience of working within the social work profession. Her passion for improving services for children has not diminished. She has held office at a senior level with responsibility for ensuring multi-agency partnership working and planning of services. In 2005 Joan left Local Government to work as an independent consultant. Since then she has also been employed as a sessional inspector for SWIA and assistant inspector for HMIE services for Children Units.
David Johnson - Trustee
David is Director and Company Secretary of Waverley Care. Trustee - National AIDS Trust. Qualified Social Worker, he is a former Unit Organiser of Edinburgh Family Service Unit, which became Family Service Unit
Barry Rose - Trustee
Barry was chief executive of Scottish Provident UK until 2001. Since then he has had a portfolio of non-executive directorships. Currently he sits on the boards of Wolfson Microelectronics PLC, Dimensional Imaging Ltd, Optos PLC and Baillie Gifford Shin Nippon PLC.
