Circle Services

Circle Lanarkshire

Circle Lanarkshire

Circle is a well established voluntary organisation which aims to support some of the most vulnerable children and families in Scotland. We believe that, by supporting families, we can improve the lives of the most disadvantaged children.

Circle Lanarkshire provides the following services:

  • A project based in St Mary’s Episcopal Church, Hamilton supporting children who attend local primary and secondary schools and their families, to promote the child’s potential at home, school and in the community.
  • Support to children and families in North and South Lanarkshire who are affected by parental drug and/or alcohol use. A service is offered to families in East Kilbride, Hamilton, Cambuslang, Lesmahagow, Wishaw, Airdrie and Bellshill.

Family support workers, in both these projects, provide support that meets the needs of individual children and families:

  • Supporting parents individually and in groups so that they are more confident to look after their children at home
  • Encouraging parents to get help from other community organisations
  • Working with children, parents and schools to improve the school experience of children
  • Individual and group support to children
  • Encouraging parents to get support with their drug and alcohol problem. We will work closely with drug and alcohol services to make sure that parents get all the support they need

Lloyds TSB, Big Lottery, North Lanarkshire Council, South Lanarkshire Council
